PNB reduces ATM withdrawal limit, halves limit on several debit cards

Punjab National Bank has reduced the daily ATM withdrawal limit for some of its debit cards. According to the bank, these new rules will be effective from April 1, 2026.
In a statement on its website, PNB said this decision was taken to enhance customer security, strengthen risk controls, and promote safe digital banking.
The limit on these cards has been reduced from Rs 1 lakh to Rs 50,000.
The daily ATM withdrawal limit for some debit cards has been reduced from Rs 100,000 to Rs 50,000. These cards include these.

The limit on these cards has been reduced from Rs 1.5 lakh to Rs 75,000.
The bank has also reduced the daily ATM withdrawal limit for some premium cards. These include:

VISA Signature Debit Card
MasterCard Business Debit Card
The bank has clarified that apart from the cards mentioned above, no change has been made in the ATM withdrawal limit of other debit cards.
Customers can change the limit if they wish
PNB customers can set or reset their ATM withdrawal limit within the new limit using internet banking, PNBOne, IVR, or WhatsApp banking.
POS and online transactions are not affected.
The bank also clarified that there have been no changes to the transaction limits for POS (card payments at stores), e-commerce, and contactless payments.
Customers can update their ATM, POS, e-commerce, and contactless transaction limits in their debit card settings via internet banking or the PNB One app.
