US U-turn on Iranian oil, sanctions lifted; learn why decision taken

The US has temporarily lifted sanctions on Iranian oil, which is trapped in tankers, amounting to approximately 140 million barrels. It is believed that this lifting of sanctions will help increase global supply and lower prices.

USA News today

The United States has decided to temporarily lift sanctions on Iranian oil stranded at sea for a month. The Trump administration said the White House was taking this step in an effort to control rising oil prices. The relief will apply to oil shipments that had been loaded onto ships by Friday.

Let us tell you that Iran had threatened to retaliate against entertainment and tourist destinations around the world, after which America announced to send more warships and marines to the region.

Consideration of reducing military operations

A few hours later, President Donald Trump said on social media that his administration was indeed considering reducing military operations in the region.

His statement came after another surge in oil prices, which sent the US stock market plummeting. These contradictory messages come at a time when the war shows no signs of abating.

Attacks on energy sites in Gulf Arab countries

Iran launched further attacks on energy sites in Israel and neighboring Gulf Arab countries, and the region was celebrating one of the holiest days in the Muslim calendar.

Iranians were celebrating the Persian New Year, Nowruz, which is typically a festive festival, at the same time the Israeli airstrikes hit Tehran.

Iran attacks disrupt oil supplies

With little information coming from Iran, it's unclear how much damage has been done to its weapons, nuclear or energy facilities,

or who actually holds power in the country, in the US and Israeli attacks that began on February 28. But Iran's attacks are disrupting oil supplies and driving up food and fuel prices far beyond the Middle East.

No hope for an end to the war

The US and Israel have offered varying justifications for war, some saying they want to incite a coup to overthrow Iran's leadership, while others say they want to dismantle Iran's nuclear and missile programs.

There has been no public indication of such a coup, and there appears to be no end in sight to the war.
