What is PM Kisan Yojana?
Under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, the central government transfers ₹6,000 to farmers' bank accounts every year. This amount is disbursed in three installments of ₹2,000. To continue receiving benefits, e-KYC is mandatory.
How to do PM Kisan e-KYC?
- First of all go to the official website of PM Kisan
- After logging in, click on the e-KYC option.
- Search by entering Aadhaar number and captcha
- Enter your registered mobile number and select Get OTP
- Enter the OTP received on your mobile
- After OTP verification, e-KYC will be completed and you will receive a confirmation message
- Now it has also been made mandatory to create a Farmer ID.

- Complete e-KYC using Aadhaar
- Upload required information and documents
- Unique Farmer ID will be issued after verification
The government is also getting Farmer IDs made for farmers by setting up camps in different states, so that more eligible farmers can join the scheme.
When will the next installment come?
The last installment of PM Kisan was released in October 2025. Installments are typically released every four months, so the next installment is expected soon. Farmers have been advised to complete their e-KYC in advance to avoid payment delays.
