Petrol and diesel prices rise in this Indian city amid the Middle East War; you'll have to pay this much

Even though the price of crude oil in the international market is seeing a decline on Friday, there is one metropolitan area in the country where the price of petrol and diesel has seen an increase. 

Fuel prices have increased in Chennai, the largest metropolis in South India. Petrol prices have increased by 26 paise per liter. 

Diesel prices, on the other hand, have increased by 22 paise per liter. According to statistics, petrol prices are above ₹100 per liter in three out of four metropolitan areas, while diesel prices are above ₹90 per liter.

Regarding crude oil prices, Gulf crude oil has fallen by about $14 per barrel from Thursday's $119. Meanwhile, US crude oil (WTI) prices have fallen by about $8 per barrel from Thursday's $100 per barrel, a significant decline. 

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu recently issued a statement in which he claimed that Iran is now significantly weakened and lacks the capability to wage war.

There is no change in fuel prices in these metros.

According to IOCL data, petrol and diesel prices remained unchanged in three of the country's four metropolitan cities. In the national capital, Delhi, petrol and diesel prices remained at ₹94.77 and ₹87.67 per liter, respectively. 

In Kolkata, petrol prices reached a high of ₹105.41, while diesel prices remained at ₹92.02 per liter. In Mumbai, petrol and diesel prices remained unchanged, at ₹103.54 and ₹90.03 per liter, respectively.

Petrol and diesel prices have increased here

Petrol and diesel prices have increased in Chennai, South India's largest metropolis. According to IOCL data, the price of petrol in Chennai has increased by 26 paise per liter, while the price of diesel has increased by 22 paise per liter. 

As a result, the price of petrol on Friday reached ₹101.06 per liter, up from ₹100.80 per liter on Thursday. Diesel prices have risen to ₹92.61 per liter, up from ₹92.39 per liter a day earlier.
